Developed by the clever folks at MIT Media Lab – Fluid Interfaces Group, DepthJS is a web browser extension that allows any any web page to interact with Microsoft Kinect via Javascript. Released last night this video shows the potential that DepthJS has for developers and is open source, and available to download at GitHub. DepthJS has a plethora of possibilities for online interfaces including full screen presentations, or indeed some flash games. With no need for any pointer device to navigate around an interface, it may even evolve into a multitouch remote control plugin for our home theater PCs. Read more: webdistortion
