The NetworkDirect service provider interface (NetworkDirect SPI) defines an interface that networking hardware vendors can implement to expose the advanced capabilities of their devices, such as remote direct memory access (RDMA) between computers, and that allows applications to leverage networking technologies such as iWARP and InfiniBand. This document describes version 2 of the NetworkDirect SPI, and it describes the NetworkDirect SPI include file (ndspi.h), implementation requirements and suggestions, and usage of the NetworkDirect interface.
